TREE CITY USA

Tulare, for the twentieth consecutive year, has been named "Tree City USA" by the National Arbor Day Foundation. This is a National Urban Forestry Program designed to make every community a better place by setting guidelines for effective urban forestry management. In addition, the City for the seventh consecutive year qualified for the "Growth Award" for its exemplary work in the areas of water efficient landscape and residential tree planting program. Tulare is one of only ninety-eight California cities to be so recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation.

ELK BAYOU SOCCER COMPLEX

This 22-acre facility is located in southeast Tulare, adjacent to the Tulare Golf Course.  The complex can accommodate up to four Olympic sized soccer fields (80 x 120 yards), or up to eight junior fields (50 x 100 yards).  Picnic tables and barbecues are situated in tree covered areas surrounding the fields. The complex includes parking for over 350 vehicles, a restroom/ concession building and picnic tables. Field lighting is available on all four fields.  For information on available dates, please call 684-4310.

              TULARE ROTARY SKATE PLAZA @ TOPHAM PARK

The City of Tulare has been selected as a 2008 California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) Award of Excellence recipient for the design of our new skate park located at 85 W. Tulare Avenue, Tulare.





Park Hours:   Monday thru Friday: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 
                           Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
                           School Breaks:  12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
                           Summer Hours:  8:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  

                           Holiday Hours:  Dec. 24 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
                                                     Dec. 25 – CLOSED
                                                     Dec. 31 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
                                                     Jan. 1 – CLOSED

                           **THE SKATEPARK IS CLOSED WHEN IT IS RAINING**   

                      ALL SKATEBOARD RIDERS AND SKATERS MUST WEAR HELMETS,
                      KNEE PADS AND ELBOW PADS AT ALL TIMES WHEN RIDING WITHIN
                      THE SKATEPARK.
