Youth Tennis Instruction |

Learn the basic skills, rules of the game and court etiquette. Students must wear
tennis shoes and provide their own racket (Rackets are provided for the Pee
Wee Tennis class). Tennis balls will be provided. For more information call

PEE WEE: This is a special
program for special players - children 6 to 8 years old. It replaces the
frustration of learning a new sport with fun by giving children sense of confidence
from their first time on the court. Every element of the program is designed
to fit their needs and provide them with enjoyment and success. Youth rackets
and balls are provided by the Department for Pee Wee players only.
BEGINNER:
For the brand new tennis player. These classes stress the basics of the game
while keeping fun as part of the game. No experience is necessary. Class will
cover the fundamental aspects of the sport. Time will be set aside for drills
and group competition in each class meeting.
YOUTH
INTERMEDIATE: Participants must have some previous tennis
skills. Lessons focus on developing basic tennis skills and etiquette, and
understanding singles and doubles tactics.

The Recreation and Parks Department will be
hosting a talent show for youth ages 5 to 17 years. The program will feature
individual and group performances including singing, dancing, musical instruments,
drama, cheerleading, baton twirling, etc. You may pick up entry forms at the

POLICIES

Activities and
classes are limited in size. Registration will be taken on a first-come,
first-serve basis.
·
Classes that do
not draw the minimum enrollment by the registration deadline will be
canceled. Please make every effort to register on time so a class will not be
canceled unnecessarily.
·
Children must be
required age by the first day of class.
·
No one but
registered participants will be allowed in class, unless otherwise indicated
by staff.
·
The liability
release on the registration form must be signed in compliance with City
policy.
REFUNDS
It is department policy to not allow refunds once registration is accepted by
the Department, unless the class is canceled by the Department.
WAITING
LISTS
Once registration for an activity has reached its limit, a waiting list will
be established.

The Recreation and Parks Department is committed to provide reasonable
services and opportunities for those with special challenges and needs. If
